Why finish locally
AI gets you a usable cutout or restore. Finish is where you set the final frame: straighten a scan, crop for a platform size, and balance light so the download matches what you see on screen.
Nothing here spends same-day AI credits. That keeps small framing tweaks cheap and fast after a successful AI pass — or lets you finish a photo that never needed AI at all.
Crop, size, and light
Turn on Crop and drag the box; use corners to resize. Lock ratio when you need a fixed aspect for listings or avatars. Set width and height in pixels when the destination asks for exact dimensions.
Exposure, contrast, and warmth are for taste and display matching. Make small moves, then download a PNG when it looks right.
A simple workflow
Common path: Cutout or Restore → Finish → Download. Or upload straight into Finish for rotate/crop only. Always confirm you have rights to edit the photo before exporting.
Workbench path and quality checks
Uploading from this Finish product page opens the /app/finish workbench with your image loaded. Undo and redo keep experiments safe; Reset returns toward the uploaded original so you can reframe without re-uploading.
Check the export at the destination size: a crop that looks fine on a laptop may clip hair or product feet on a square marketplace tile. Lock ratio when the platform demands it, then nudge exposure so midtones survive compression on social feeds.
Finish is intentionally local and credit-free for AI. Pair it with Cutout when you need a transparent subject, or with Restore when the scan needed repair first. Together they cover isolate → refresh → frame without leaving PhotoCraft.
